The band was originally called the Backlash Blues Band from the Nina Simone song, then changed the name to the Black Leb Blues Band. The photo was taken in the basement of what was The Congregational Church, Junction Road, London N19 around 1968. Other band members include, Ray Arigo, Chris Thomas and Nick Bradford. The band that launched Paul into the spotlight for a couple of years. Playing Top of The Pops, The Old Grey Whistle Test and many festivals around Europe.
